Anagrelide is a capsule that you take by mouth and it works as follows:-
Anagrelide is a medication that specifically lowers the number of platelets in the blood. Its effects are temporary and can be reversed. While the exact way it works isn't fully understood, it's believed to reduce the production of platelets by interfering with the development of certain cells called megakaryocytes. These cells normally produce platelets. Anagrelide also seems to prevent platelets from clumping together when triggered by substances like adenosine diphosphate (ADP) and collagen.
